The scenic driveway to the iconic Horsley Towers provides a wonderful opportunity to lower the hoods on our cars so our Brides and Grooms can enjoy the atmosphere of the day. Many of our weddings entail taking our Bride to Horsley Towers and then after the ceremony taking our newly weds on a drive so they can have a little time on their own before being welcomed back by friends and family assembled outside. A really magical moment and great opportunity for photographs.
Horsley Towers was acquired in the early 1800’s by the wealthy Lord Lovelace. He went to great expense in improving the original property to demonstrate his position in society. He added the Great Hall with its majestic vaulted ceiling and stained glass windows, the clock tower and later the fabulously ornate chapel and cloisters. We always encourage clients looking for prospective venues to visit and experience the atmosphere - Horsley Towers is certainly a venue full of surprises.
The impressive oak panelled Great Hall can easily accommodate up to 110 seated guests for wedding breakfasts and 120 for a civil ceremony. For those preferring a different and more timeless room the elegant Sopwith room is an excellent alternative and can accommodate slightly more guests.
